I was very impressed with the cataract surgery i had yesterday. All of the nurses and medical staff were excellent and helped me get through the procedure with the least anxiety. Dr. Anup Kubal the surgeon is excellent - I did not feel anything - and my follow up exam today went very well. I am looking forward to my next cataract surgery in two weeks for my other eye. I would highly recommend Aker Kasten Eye Center for cateract surgery.

Wonderful overall experience. The staff is incredibly skilled and courteous. They take a lot of time explaining procedures in detail and answer all questions patiently and in a very understandable manner. The doctors are the best and I would highly recommend this facility.

Correction of cataracts on my left eye was such a fast painless experience. The staff was great! The results so far with my left eye are extraordinary. I haven't seen so well in years, I can hardly wait to get the right eye done!

It’s two days post surgery for my second cataract surgery and my vision is absolutely amazing. Dr. Jonathan Aker and his support staff are professionals that also make you feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process, from evaluation, to surgery to follow up post surgery. I chose Aker Kasten because my husband and mother have both gone to them, and my husband had double cataract surgery last Fall and was thrilled with the results. It was a choice. I’m glad I made.

I was in the prep room for surgery. They put an IV in my hand and gave me a sedative by mouth. The anethesiologist came in and saw my heart beat had a pause in it. I did get a clearance from my Dr beforehand. He freaked out at that point and said he wouldn’t do the surgery. Ok I understood that. So I went to a cardiologist and he said I have no symtoms and he cleared me for the Catteract surgery. I went back to get the surgery done. I was in the waiting rm and was called to a room nearby. The two women( I guess maybe nurses) told me I would not be having surgery for they never received the clearance, which was a lie. My Dr sent it over 4 days prior on the 8th. Today was the 12 th. So they said they would be right back. They tried again to tell me the same thing then one woman said yes they received the clearance but the anesthesiologist still wouldn’t do the surgery. I had taken off work twice now. Had to have someone else take off work to drive me there. 1/2 hr drive. Next the anethesiologist came in and said the cardiologist is playing games because he said the monitor printout was not easily readable but he did release me after examining me and my heart. It was very frustrating as to why they called me and told me when to be there for the surgery knowing it wasn’t going to happen. Why did they let things go this far. The day of surgery!!! I would never recommend them.

Staff is pleasant and I get in and out pretty quickly. The female doctor I met there has the charm and bedside manner of nurse Ratched. I have floaters in 1 of my eyes. The doctor told me that I will have an issue in my other eye and it's just a matter of time and there is nothing I can do about it and then left the examination room. Her relating this information was just so cold and unempatthetic.
